Better Read than Dead

A quick post before my daughter and I catch the train up the mountain. Thank you to both Gayle and the lovely Better Read Than Dead bookstore in Newtown for sending me the following images of Poet’s Cottage in their window display.

If you would like a signed copy of Poet’s Cottage (with Mother’s Day approaching it would make a fab gift) from Better Read Than Dead, I will pop into their store and sign one for you – just ask them when you place the order.

Hello Josephine, I have just finished reading your book Poets Cottage which I absolutely loved! I t resonated with me as I also grew up in the small village of Ross in Tasmania. I believe my mother Betty knew some of your relations actually. I am also a fan of Agatha Christie and Midsommer murders and have often thought a book could be written about the characters and events of Ross. Anyway thank you for a splendid read and congratulations on the success of your novel. Kind Regards. Heather Quenneville.

      Hello Heather,
Thanks so much for your lovely comment and for supporting my book. I could really write books forever on small towns as you’re never short of material. Ross is really a beautiful place to call home. At one stage I was having a fantasy about living there and Daisy travelling to Launceston to go to school. I bought my first vintage chandelier from the Antique shop in Ross. It was a nightmare to carry home on the plane but I was so pleased I did because every time I look at it, I think of beautiful Ross.
Perhaps you should start taking notes on the characters around you but you would have to be careful to disguise them all or you might find yourself run out of town. That’s if you are still living there. Thanks for taking the time to leave your response. I always get so thrilled when I hear someone has bought my book and enjoyed it. And it’s always good to hear from fellow Midsomer Murders and Agatha Christie fans.
      Love Josephine xx

Oooh, thank you Canberra airport and thank you Stephanie for letting me know. I’m so happy you’re enjoying it. It’s wonderful to hear that Poet’s Cottage is making its way around and seeing the world. My book is travelling further than I am.xx
