A House with a Tale to Tell

One day I will organise myself to do a proper media section for my Blog. But at the moment I’m still doing publicity for Poet’s Cottage and finishing off the first draft of my Currawong book. For now, here is a peek at the article that appeared on my in Sydney’s Sunday Herald.  If you press on this link HERE, you can read it. Thank you to my writing friend, Richard Harland who owns a scanner and knows what to do with it. xx

Just arrived home from a trip to Hobart City this afternoon. The purpose of my visit – to buy my much anticipated copy of Poet’s Cottage. What an absolute thrill to walk into Fullers in Collins Street, to see a pile of Josephine Pennicott, Poet’s Cottage, greeting me just inside the door!!! Must mention also the thrill of seeing Poet’s Cottage on display at Dymocks in Centrepoint!!!
I now have a dilemma, to cook dinner, iron that pile of washing, catch up on everyones day, or pop into to the sitting room & shut the door? Oops did not mean to bang the door…..
    So excited for you Josie

Awww, thank you, Lisa. You made me cry! It’s overwhelming to know my books have arrived in Hobart. Bless you for supporting me by buying one and much love to you and the family. I appreciate your comment more than you’ll probably ever realise. Love and a kiss to Hobart and the Tasmanian sky. And ironing must always come last in my view. I hope you enjoy my Poet’s. And whilst you’re reading – lock your doors… xx

Dear Chris, thank you so much for that feedback. Yes I got lucky with the weekend papers in Tasmania as I think they all covered it which was wonderful. Look out for Good Reading magazine as in the coming month’s issue they have a two page spread on my trip to Stanley complete with my holiday snaps. Not sure if you can get that magazine in Stanley so I’ll send you and Marguerite a copy. Take Care and all my love to you. xx

Thank you, Lisa. I was also sad when I reached the final pages when I was writing it. It was hard to let the characters go. Just think it won’t be too long before my other mystery novel is in the stores. Thank you so much for keeping me updated about Poet’s Cottage displays in Hobart. That is wonderful So pleased to know your mum is enjoying it. Did you see the spread they did in the Sunday Tasmanian? I had the cover page! xx

Did see The Sunday Tas Jose, my Dad was very happy to tell everyone that he read it first!! He also said that you don’t look any older than you did all those years ago when you used to stay at their house after a night out!

Hi Lisa, yes my publicist sent me the email through yesterday with the coverage I was in over the weekend. I was so happy that I was in both Northern and Southern papers for Tasmania. And very chuffed to see I made the cover of the Sunday Tasmanian! I’ll have to put that in a frame in my writing office along with Elizabeth Taylor and Agatha Christie. I loved the piece they did. I’ve been fortunate as all the journalists were very excellent in the way they depicted the book and used my words and understood my ramblings.
Gosh, you brought back a few memories there Lisa. Bright green milkshakes that always used to cure a hang-over. And do you remember my bright yellow Datsun that I called Daisy? Your dad is my new best friend. Give him my love and also to the rest of the tribe. Mum and my dad always have fond memories of your parents New Year Eve parties. xx

Remember Lime Milkshakes, tins of rice cream, Daisy Datsun & Molineaux(?) Monkey, our Picnic at Hanging Rock (with the Chooks) & lots of laughs!!!
Forgot to tell you, Dad is turning 77 in May & has failing eyesight:)
        Take care of you
        Lisa xx
